Job Profile
Mosaic 1898 direct Payments Team are assisting a young lady living in the in Aylestone area of Leicester, to recruit a female support worker, for up to 18 hours a week. (Mondays and Thursdays).
Your role will be to support the young lady to access the local community. To assist in all areas of personal and domestic need as required, and to act as an escort and aid to the employer’s social and day to day activities.
There may be opportunity to increase the supporting hours.
Person Specification
A caring and patient approach is more important than experience. You will be reliable and trustworthy with the commitment to accept responsibility. You will be comfortable to work on own, and with initiative if necessary. You will always be diligent and conscientious. You must be able to communicate effectively. Due to the individuals limited communication skills, understanding and empathising is an important skill and is vital to this PA role.
You must be highly motivated, confident individual who is able to provide one to one support and be able to encourage the young lady to learn new life skills.
It would be preferred if you have with experience of epilepsy, although training will be available.
There is a requirement for you to be a driver with your own car available to use for work – business use insurance necessary.
