Advocacy Services

Providing individual independent advocacy to people with physical and sensory impairments in the City and the County; also to people with learning disabilities in the County. We also offer advocacy advice to people with leaning disabilities in Rutland. Advocacy in Rutland is also available to people with physical and sensory impairments


Services for Young People

Provides support and activities to all disabled young people aged between 16 and 30 years (except Steps youth club which is from 11 to 19 years old) who live in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Includes Tuesday Rendezvous, Steps, Friday Verve and Tell It Newsletter.


Independent Life Project

The Independent Life Project is a Support Service providing twenty-four hour support to disabled people living in three housing developments in Leicester.

Includes independent living at Ashthorpe Road, Harrison Court and Pelham Way and an accessible flat called Flat 7.


Information Service

Aims to provide up to date information and advice on any topics relating to disability.

Includes Information Service Factsheets and the helpline telephone number with opening times.


Direct Payments

If you meet the criteria you may be entitled to money from your local authority for you to purchase the community care services you need and prefer. Currently mosaic acts as the support agency for Leicester City Adults and Housing Department.

Art and art-related activities for disabled people.

Includes arts and crafts club, plus Alternative Day Services in the City (on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and in the County (Monday and Tuesday). We also support six local groups in Melton, Wigston, Glen Parva, Birstall, Desford and Fleckney.


Aspire

Alternative Services Promoting Independence, Recreation and Education

Challenging social isolation and promoting inclusion.

Includes two accessible bungalows in Norfolk, an accessible narrowboat, Sailability Project, a range of day trips and a holiday information database.


Counselling Service

mosaic offers a free, professional counselling service where counsellors are supervised in line with British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists guidelines.
