Cre8

Art and art-related activities for disabled people.
Includes arts and crafts club, plus Alternative Day Services in the City (on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and in the County (Monday and Tuesday).

One to One
We offer a one to one visiting service and support to access community activities, hobbies and interests to disabled people living in the City and the County. This is a flexible service which disabled people can access in the short term or have longer term involvement.

Communic8
Communic8 is a new part of the one to one service for disabled people who may be isolated and enjoy writing. You can read more about the service and how to join in here

A Day Service for the City
This is a pilot project to develop three “Alternative Day Services” within the City, not dissimilar to the well-established Ibstock and Enderby Groups in the County. Each group has up to 12 members in each and 4 members of staff. Each group meets at a different place on a different day. Transport is available to those who need it. Group members will decide on what activities take place. Read more about the Day Services for the City project

The Connection
The Connection has been set up to keep a link between disabled people who now go to mosaic: shaping disability services’ new groups in Leicester and people at Douglas Bader Centre. You can read more about it here and download some of the previous issues

Daytime options for disabled people
We facilitate and provide daytime options in a group setting to people with physical and/or sensory impairments aged 30 – 65 years and living in the County. Members choose and organise their own programme of activities with the support of Cre8 staff.

County Social Groups
These are social groups run and managed by disabled people in Birstall, Great Glen, Fleckney, Wigston and Desford. Cre8 supports the groups with transport and anything else they want. Most groups meet weekly. We are hoping to set up another County Group in the near future.
